Amy Yang, also known as Yang Hee-young, won the LPGA's season-ending CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida on Sunday.
It was Yang's fifth career win and first since February 2019, and also her first on U.S. soil in her 16-year LPGA career.
In the fourth and final round of the season finale, Yang carded a 27-under-par 261 overall, securing a three-stroke lead over second-place finishers Nasa Hataoka of Japan and Alison Lee of the U.S., who finished 24 under par.
Lilia Vu of the U.S. finished fourth and Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand fifth.
With Yang's victory, Korean female golfers accumulated a combined five LPGA wins this season.
The others were the HSBC Women's World Championship in March and the Cognizant Founders Cup in May won by Ko Jin-young, the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship in October won by rookie Ryu Hae-ran, and the Ascendant LPGA Benefiting Volunteers of America in October won by Kim Hyo-joo.
