President Yoon Suk-yeol met with the heads of General Motors, Visa and Apple on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in San Francisco on Wednesday.
Yoon met with GM's senior vice president Shilpan Amin before the APEC CEO Summit. Amin told Yoon that the company will continue to increase production in Korea, continuing its 30-year partnership with the country.
Yoon also met with Visa executive chair Al Kelly, who said he wants to boost investment in Korea with a focus on helping small to medium-sized enterprises.

Yoon met with Apple CEO Tim Cook in a hotel in San Francisco. Apple's CEO shared his ties with Korea, saying that his father was a Korean War veteran.
He also promised more investment in the country, saying Apple wouldn't be where it is without Korea, as Apple sources 30 percent of its parts from Korea, the most of any country outside the U.S.

Meeting with Koreans and Korean-Americans in the tech industry, Yoon promised an improved atmosphere for tech start-ups with better research and development opportunities.
