President Yoon Suk-yeol will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in San Francisco next week before embarking on a state visit to the U.K. and traveling to Paris to promote Busan's bid to host the 2030 World Expo.
The presidential office said Wednesday it will arrange a joint lecture by Yoon and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at Stanford University on Nov. 17.
Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to attend the summit, and discussions are ongoing about a possible meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden. Korea is also considering a summit with Xi.
Yoon will return briefly to Korea on Nov. 18 before setting off again on his state visit to the U.K. at the invitation of King Charles, where he will also address Parliament on Nov. 21.
Leaving France on Nov. 25, Yoon has a couple of weeks at home before setting off again on a state visit to the Netherlands on Dec. 12 and 13.
