Korean Piano Sensation Snapped up by Decca Classics

Pianist Lim Yun-chan has signed an exclusive contract with Decca Classics.

Lim became the youngest winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition last year at the age of 18.

Founded in 1929, British record label Decca Classics has produced albums with many great musicians including tenor Luciano Pavarotti and violinist Chung Kyung-wha.

"Yun-chan is, quite simply, the most exciting new classical artist on the planet. It took a global mission to secure his signature and bring him to Decca Classics," Decca co-president Tom Lewis said. "We are so excited that he chose us."

Lim said, "Decca has produced records with excellent sound quality, and has worked with numerous legendary musicians. It's a record label that one can truly appreciate as a musician."
