Temperatures plummeted to about 5 degrees Celsius in inland areas of the country on Monday morning, a dramatic drop from a day earlier.
But daytime highs will still climb to between 18 and 23 degrees, the Korea Meteorological Administration predicted.

The KMA warned of strong winds of some 15 m per second along the west coast, eastern Gangwon Province and southern regions, as well as frost damage to crops in northern Gyeonggi Province and the mountains of Gangwon Province.
Rain is expected in the capital region, and Gangwon, Chungcheong and Jeolla provinces on Thursday, followed by even chillier mornings.
