After the Chuseok holiday, plenty of food tends to be left over, from pan-fried dishes to pork belly slices and beef soup. But how can it be stored safely?
If you need to store it only briefly, just cover it with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator.
But plastic wrap and oily foods are not a safe combination. Plastic wrap should never come into direct contact with food, so make sure to leave plenty of space at the top.

According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, plastic wrap does not dissolve in water but can dissolve in oil and then becomes more likely to release additives, especially when the food is still warm.
Most additives used in plastic wrap are non-volatile and won't seep into the food as long as there is no direct contact.
But to be completely on the safe side when storing oily foods like meat broth or galbi (grilled ribs), place them in a Tupperware container instead.
