Jeon Jong-seo Teams up with Boyfriend for Netflix Film

Netflix's new Korean film "Ballerina," starring Jeon Jong-seo, is set for release next week.

The action-packed revenge drama directed by Lee Chung-hyun revolves around a former bodyguard who seeks to avenge the death of her close friend.

It is Jeon's second film with Lee after his film "The Call" in 2020.

"I tried to focus on the reason the protagonist has to fight," Jeon said at a press event in Seoul earlier this week ahead of its release on Oct. 6. "She doesn't talk much and has no outlets for her feelings, so I had to restrain my feelings to portray her."

Lee, who is Jeon's boyfriend, said, "Knowing each other so well afforded a great synergy in making the film, as we already knew how to act without saying anything."

The film has also been invited for screening at this year's Busan International Film Festival, which will be held in the southern port city from Oct. 4 to 13.
