S.Korea in 2nd Place in Asian Games Medal Tally

South Korea is currently in second place in the overall medal standings at the Asian Games in Hangzhou as of Tuesday. Korea is just behind China, which has won 53 gold, 29 silver and 13 bronze medals, while Japan is third with eight gold, 20 silver and 19 bronze medals.

North Korea has won three silver and two bronze medals so far to rank 15th.

With medals mostly coming from disciplines like fencing and swimming so far, Korea on Tuesday added one more gold medal in taekwondo.

Park Hye-jin grabbed gold in the women's 53-kg competition. Her gold-medal finish came after Kim Yu-jin won bronze in the women's 57-kg competition earlier in the day.

Another gold medal came from the shooting trio of Ha Kwang-chul, Jeong You-jin and Kwak Yong-bin in the men's 10-m running target mixed run team event.
