Swimmer Kim Woo-min clinched the silver medal in the men's 1,500-m freestyle at the Asian Games in Hangzhou on Tuesday, a day after winning gold in the men's 800-m freestyle relay.
In the men's 400-m medley relay, the team consisting of Choi Dong-yeol, Hwang Sun-woo, Kim Young-beom and Lee Ju-ho won silver with a new Korean record of 3:32.05.
It was the first time in 13 years that the country won Asiad medals in the men's 1,500-m freestyle and men's 400-m medley relay.
Lee Eun-ji claimed bronze in the women's 200-m backstroke, the country's first Asiad medal in 25 years in the event.
Korea has won two gold, two silver and five bronze medals in swimming so far. Its best performance in swimming came at the 2010 Asiad in Guangzhou, where it won four gold, three silver and six bronze medals.
It remains to be seen whether Korea can outdo its achievement in Guangzhou, as all swimming events end on Friday.
