Kim Ha-yun Wins Gold in Women's Judo

Judoka Kim Ha-yun won gold in the women's +78-kg event at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China on Tuesday, beating Xu Shiyan of China.

It was the only gold medal claimed by Korea -- considered a judo powerhouse -- in the individual judo events at this year's Asiad. It won nine medals including two silver and six bronze medals.

Korea won four gold, six silver and three bronze medals in judo in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.

The judo competition in Hangzhou wraps up with the mixed team events on Wednesday.
