Hyundai's Electric Cars Promote Busan's Expo Bid in New York

Automaker Hyundai is deploying its colorfully decorated electric cars again in New York for the UN General Assembly this week to promote Busan's bid to host the World Expo in 2030.

Hyundai has put 20 such cars on the road near UN headquarters and major attractions in New York as well as displaying them in Manhattan and Times Square.

They are Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6 and Genesis G80 electric cars emblazoned with images of the southern port city along with the bid slogan "Busan Is Ready."

They were also deployed at the G20 Summit in New Delhi and the ASEAN Summit in Jakarta earlier this month.
