Rain will drench the entire country until the weekend.
It will be carried by a low-pressure front, particularly in central parts, Gyeonggi Province and mountainous areas in the southern provinces and on Jeju Island combined with strong winds from the lower layers of the atmosphere.
Thunderstorms with up to 50 mm of downpours per hour will pelt the Jeolla and Gyeongsang provinces and Jeju on Wednesday.
The capital region and central parts will see up to 100 mm of rain, which will likely continue until this Saturday.

Meanwhile, Saola and Damrey, this year's ninth and 10th typhoons, will probably not affect Korea as they pass through waters near China and Japan respectively.
Haikui, the 11th typhoon that was born in waters 570 km north-northwest of Guam on Monday morning, is also expected to move towards Okinawa.
