Capital Unveils New Slogan 'Seoul, My Soul'

The Seoul Metropolitan Government on Wednesday announced its new rhyming slogan "Seoul, My Soul."

In an all-out effort by marketing experts and graphic designers, the slogan features a heart, exclamation mark and smiling emoji.

"The heart shows the capital filled with love, while the exclamation mark symbolizes new experiences and the smile shows how happy life is in the city," a city spokesman claimed.

The city government invited ideas for the new slogan last summer, chose "Seoul, my soul" in March and spent the next five months working on the design.

It will now flicker across electronic billboards and adorn brochures and may even be embodied in a big plastic sculpture.
