Kim Ha-seong of the San Diego Padres hit a solo home run in an away game against the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday, reaching double-digit homers for the second consecutive season.
In the top of the eighth inning with his team losing 2-0, Kim, the second baseman and lead-off hitter, drove a fastball from starter Andrew Abbott over the left fence. It was his 10th homer of the season. He hit 11 home runs last season.

The Padres lost the game 4-3, recording their seventh loss in their last eight games.
Kim, in spite of the team's poor performance, has hit five home runs in his last 10 games since June 23. He batted 0.306 during the period, higher than his season batting average of 0.258.
The Padres have now played 84 of their 162 games this season, and Kim has already posted 10 home runs and 13 steals. This is raising hopes of him achieving 20 homers and 20 steals this season.
