"The Roundup: No Way Out" starring Ma Dong-seok drew over 7 million viewers as of Saturday, about 11 days after its release.
According to the Korean Film Council, some 7.3 million moviegoers have watched the crime flick so far since it hit theaters on May 31.

The film showed signs of being a huge success right from the start, attracting over a million viewers on the day of release alone. It took about a week to reach 6 million and just four more days to reach 7 million, faster than the previous installment in the series, "The Roundup," which took about two weeks to reach the milestone.
If this pace continues, "The Roundup: No Way Out" is soon expected to hit the 10-million-viewer mark as its predecessor did last year, raising hopes that it will help the film industry rebound from the coronavirus pandemic-induced slump.
