Daytime highs in parts of Korea are expected to reach up to 30 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday, rising to 29 degrees in Seoul.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said a stationary front hovering over the southern coast will bring thunder showers in the south and on Jeju Island, while day and nighttime temperatures will fluctuate more than 10 degrees in many parts.
Meanwhile, Typhoon Mawar is not expected to have a direct influence on Korea as it passed through high seas southeast of Japan on Thursday.
