Thunderstorms will rage across Korea until Monday, raining out an early-summer long weekend that lasts from Buddha's Birthday on Saturday to the makeup holiday on Monday.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on Thursday, a low-pressure front approaching from the north will bring 5 mm of rain to some parts of the country on Friday morning, while Gangwon, Chungcheong, Gyeongsang and Jeolla provinces will see up to 20 mm of rainfall later in the day.
The rest part of the country will then get their share of up to 20 mm of rainfall on Saturday before Korea falls under the influence of a heavy low-pressure front on Sunday and Monday that will bring thunder showers and strong winds.
