North Korean leader Kim Jong-un made his first public appearance in about a month on Tuesday, when he checked preparations for the launch of North Korea's first military satellite.
He was once again accompanied by his daughter Ju-ae.

According to state media, Kim visited the National Aerospace Development Administration to check the final stage of preparation for the reconnaissance satellite.
He made his last visit there a month ago, when Pyongyang claimed the satellite had passed some of the final tests.
The official [North] Korean Central News Agency said the project was at the "binding stage," which apparently means it is almost ready for launch.
