Young workers with long commutes are more likely to want to change their jobs to somewhere more convenient, a poll finds.
According to the poll of 8,460 entry-level office workers by the Korean Women's Development Institute, respondents spend 35 minutes on average commuting every morning. Some 16.4 percent spend between an hour and 90 minutes and 6.1 percent even longer.

More than half or 50.9 percent of respondents commute to and from companies in cities or regions other than their own. Some 9.6 percent travel 20 to 40 km and 3.9 percent more than 40 km.
Of those who spent less than 20 minutes on their way to work, only 23 percent said they wanted to change jobs. But of those who spent more than an hour and a half, the proportion who want another job reached 40 percent.
