Ryu Hyun-jin of the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday donated W100 million to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation for Children's Day (US$1=W1,338).
He donated the same amount in May last year.
"I hope it can give a little help to children in need," the foundation quoted Ryu as saying. "I want all children to live healthy and happy lives."
The donation will be used to provide medical support for children with cancer and rare diseases.
Ryu has been in rehabilitation since he had surgery on his left elbow in June last year and hopes to return to the mound around July.
