Kim Ha-seong of the San Diego Padres hit a three-run homer in a home game against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday, helping the team win it 8-3.
Breaking a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning, Kim's homer off the Reds' Alex Young flew over the left fence at Petco Park in San Diego. It was Kim's third homer this season.
Kim performed brilliantly during Monday's game, regaining form after a recent string of disappointing outings. In his second at-bat, with the Padres losing 3-2 in the fourth inning, he hit a double off Reds starter Luke Weaver, allowing follow-up hitter Trent Grisham to tie the score with a double.

After recording two hits and a homer in four at-bats in a game against the Atlanta Braves on April 10, Kim had performed sluggishly, hitting just nine singles and striking out 19 times in 63 at-bats in 18 games.
But he was able to raise his batting average from 0.194 to 0.222 after Monday's game. Kim also reached 102 RBIs in Major League Baseball, adding three during the game.
The Padres now rank third in the National League West with 16 wins and 14 losses.
