Cheong Wa Dae marks its first year of opening to the public next month with new tours of the old presidential palace and gardens.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which oversees the facility, is linking the compound to neighboring areas and palaces to create a landmark attraction.
"By linking historical and cultural attractions near Cheong Wa Dae, we've created 10 themed tours that also include restaurants, hiking and traditional performances," a ministry official said.
They are being formally launched on Wednesday.

The government has set aside W10 billion this year to put on art exhibitions and performances in the compound (US$1=W1,319).
A special exhibition is planned highlighting the history of the presidency, while a guided tour will take visitors around 35 trees planted by former leaders and other beautiful plants in the grounds.
