Actress Uhm Jung-hwa is taking on a role that will likely appeal to female viewers in particular in cable channel JTBC's upcoming series slated for airing in mid-April.
"Doctor Cha" tells the story of a woman who decides to start her life anew by pursuing a professional career as a doctor again after giving up medicine some 20 years earlier to be a full-time housewife.
"I loved the message it tries to deliver to viewers through the story," she said.
"I think there will be many viewers who can relate to the story, as they have probably gone through similar things in their own lives. The heartwarming story is also full of laughs," she added.
The series will be aired every Saturday and Sunday with its first episode scheduled to air on April 15.
