Ssangyong released a couple of teaser images of its new SUV on Thursday.
The midsize SUV, named the Torres EVX, is the automaker's second electric model after its spacious Korando e-Motion SUV but the latest one comes with its own EV platform for the first time, which was co-developed with Chinese carmaker BYD.
The SUV-centric carmaker said the latter half of the SUV's name was coined from the word "extreme" to describe the vehicle's highly dynamic performance.
The SUV provides a roomier interior than other midsize SUVs in its class.
It will be unveiled at this year's Seoul Mobility Show late this month before its launch.
About 160 domestic and foreign automakers are expected to showcase their latest vehicles and other gadgets at the show, which is slated to be held from March 31 to April 9.
