Food prices are set to jump by up to 25 percent next month as Koreans already groan under runaway inflation.
The price hike will hit across the board. CJ Cheiljedang said it will hike the prices of its red pepper paste and other condiments by up to 11 percent, just six months after the company raised the price of one of Koreans' favorite seasoning sauces in September last year.
Supermarkets and other retailers are set to reflect new prices from March 11.

Prices of bottled water in convenience stores will also go up as Pulmuone decided to raise them by five percent from next month, while mineral-water brand Jeju Samdasoo has already hiked them by 9.8 percent.
