South Korea and the U.S. are to conduct a tabletop drill at a U.S. submarine base later this month to prepare for a pre-emptive nuclear attack from North Korea.
The drill will be held at U.S. Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in the state of Georgia, a military source here said Monday. "Top South Korean brass and working-level staff will discuss how to respond to a nuclear emergency and visit facilities at the base."
Kings Bay is the home port of ballistic missile submarines.
The last tabletop drill was held at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California in 2016.
