Taekwondo Included in Schedule for Los Angeles Paralympics in 2028

Taekwondo has been confirmed as one of the sports at the Los Angeles Paralympics in 2028.

The International Paralympic Committee on Monday announced the list of 22 official sports adopted for the event.

It marks the third consecutive time the sport will feature at the Paralympics, after debuting at the Tokyo games, which were slated for 2020 but held the following year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The IPC will confirm the weight classes and the number of athletes participating in Taekwondo at a later date.

Taekwondo will also feature at the LA Olympics in 2028, its eighth consecutive inclusion in the games since it debuted as an official sport at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
