Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur scored twice to help his team beat Preston North End in the FA Cup last Saturday.
After a goalless first half at Preston's Deepdale stadium, Son broke the deadlock with his opening goal in the 50th minute, and scored again about 20 minutes later, delighting about 5,000 Spurs fans who traveled to the city.
It was Son's first double in more than three months, since Spurs played Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League in London last October. His seventh and eighth goals of the season also ended a five-match goal drought.
Spurs won 3-0 as debutant Arnaut Danjuma, who signed to play for Spurs on loan from Spanish club Villarreal, netted a goal in the 87th minute.
"I needed the goals for my confidence," Son said after the match. "It's always hard in the FA Cup, especially when you play away from home. In the first half we struggled a little bit because they were defending really, really deep. I'm glad I could help the team and we can now look forward to the next round."
