Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur has been named Korea's best male footballer of the year.
Son earned the honor in a vote conducted by the Korea Football Association last week. He was followed by Kim Min-jae of Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli and Cho Gue-sung of Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
Son has now won the honor for four consecutive years since 2019 and a record seven times after first receiving it in 2013.
Despite carrying a facial injury, the Spurs forward played full-time in all four matches and led Korea to the round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar early this month.
Ji So-yun of Suwon FC Women has been voted the best female player of the year for the second straight year.
Ji led Korea to a runner-up finish in the Asian Football Confederation Women's Asian Cup in India early this year, allowing the squad to qualify for its third straight World Cup.
After winning several titles with English club Chelsea, including the UEFA Women's Champions League and the FA Women's Cup, Ji returned to Korea and joined Suwon this May.
