Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur has been named Korea's best male footballer of the year.
Son earned the honor in a vote conducted by the Korea Football Association last week. He was followed by Kim Min-jae of Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli and Cho Gue-sung of Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
Son has now won the honor for four consecutive years since 2019 and a record seven times after first receiving it in 2013.
Despite carrying a facial injury, the Spurs forward played full-time in all four matches and led Korea to the round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar early this month.
