The first shipment of heavy weapons from Korea has arrived in Poland.
Ten K2 tanks and 24 K9 self-propelled howitzers arrived in the port of Gdynia on Tuesday, where Polish President Andrzej Duda and the Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak took delivery.

Duda said the Russian invasion of Ukraine makes it more important for Poland's military to be equipped with state-of-the-art weaponry.
Korea signed a contract to supply hundreds of tanks and howitzers to Poland in July. The first delivery only took about four months at the Polish president's urging, and the rest will be shipped over the next decade.
