Construction of what will be the U.S.' largest battery plants for electric vehicles began in Glendale, Kentucky on Monday.
SK On vice chairman Chey Jae-won speaks at a groundbreaking ceremony for joint venture plants with Ford in Glendale in the U.S. state of Kentucky on Monday.
The day finally came after Korean battery maker SK On agreed late last year to join hands with U.S. auto giant Ford to build three EV plants -- two in Glendale and one in Stanton, Tennessee -- through BlueOvalSK, a joint venture.
