Golfer Lydia Ko won the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida on Sunday.
In the final round, Ko finished at 17-under 271 overall, two strokes ahead of Leona Maguire of Ireland, to claim the winner's check of US$2 million, the biggest prize in the history of women's golf. It was her second victory at the LPGA Tour's season finale after doing so in 2014.
With Sunday's victory, Ko earned this year's Rolex Player of the Year award, which is given to the golfer who earns the most points in tournaments throughout the year.
She also won the Vare Trophy, which is given to the player with the lowest scoring average, for the second straight year.

Ko said following her victory, "And obviously I wanted to end the season on a high but, you know, know that whatever happens and even though there's a lot of things on the line, just know that it's been a great season." She added, "And to be the Player of the Year and to win the Vare Trophy again and to win the CME Group Tour Championship, it's a dream come true. To be able to do it in front of family and my team… it's a very special one."
Ko's fiancé and Hyundai heir Chung Jun stole the show as he cheered her on and congratulated her victory at the tournament, ahead of their impending wedding in Seoul slated for next month.
Since turning pro in 2013 when she was in her late teens, the wunderkind from New Zealand has amassed 19 LPGA wins so far.
