Jung-kook of boy band Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, performed at the opening ceremony of this year's FIFA World Cup in Qatar on Sunday.
He sang the event's official theme song, "Dreamers," with Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Doha.
It was the first performance by a Korean at the opening ceremony of the quadrennial event, which is broadcast live around the world.
FIFA said the 30-minute show was "full of surprises, with the main act featuring a performance of 'Dreamers.'"
The music video for the song is set to be released on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, BTS are currently taking a break from each other after releasing the compilation album "Proof" on June 10 to celebrate the ninth anniversary of their debut.
For a third consecutive year, the boys have been nominated at the Grammy Awards, which will be held in Los Angeles in February.
