The city of Daegu in southeastern Korea is hosting an expo offering a glimpse into the future of mobility.
The Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo (DIFA) opens Thursday and runs until Saturday, featuring the latest developments and future technologies encompassing electric vehicles, batteries and urban air mobility.
The biggest expo of its kind features about 1,000 booths from some 171 companies.
Hyundai is showcasing its Ioniq 6 electric sedan and eco-friendly bus Elec City, while its affiliate Kia is displaying its all-electric EV6 SUV, which can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds, along with multipurpose vehicle Niro Plus, which can be turned into a camper.
Among foreign carmakers, Audi and BMW are participating to promote their flagship models with test-driving offers.
LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI and Daegu-based L&F are among the EV parts makers participating in the expo.
Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo said, "By hosting the expo, we will continue to strive to transform Daegu into a hub for future mobility."
