Actor Ma Dong-seok Got Married in Secret Last Year

Actor Ma Dong-seok married his long-time girlfriend Ye Jung-hwa in secret last year, he announced Thursday.

Appearing at an award ceremony hosted by the Shin Young-kyun Arts and Culture Foundation in Seoul on Thursday, Ma (51) said in his acceptance speech, "I am thankful to my wife, Ye Jung-hwa, and family members for always supporting me and I love you."

Ye is 34.

His management company later confirmed that the couple registered their marriage last year without a big celebration after dating for six years.
