Hyundai to Provide Hundreds of Green Cars for Use at World Cup

Hyundai will provide more than 200 eco-friendly vehicles to the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the automaker said Thursday.

This is the first time FIFA will use non-combustion-engine vehicles as official cars during the football extravaganza.

Of the 446 recreational vehicles and 170 commercial vehicles to be supplied by the Korean automaker, 236 will be environmentally friendly.

The quadrennial event starts its one-month journey on Nov. 20.
