Actress Jeon Yeo-been seems to be embarking on an adventure in her career with her new Netflix series "Glitch," which was released last week.
Since her debut, the 33-year-old has steadily built up her filmography and proved herself as a versatile actress. She has shown convincing performances in every role she has played, from a high school girl who is falsely accused when her friend disappears in the 2017 film "After My Death" to an ambitious and sophisticated lawyer in the TV series "Vincenzo" in 2021.

The new series revolves around a woman who traces her missing boyfriend with the help of a childhood friend. The two women decide to conduct their own investigation into the boyfriend's sudden disappearance, and are led into a world of mysterious aliens and religious cults.
The sci-fi mystery series explores human belief and faith with comic twists.
"I believe everyone has their own form of 'alien' in their mind, such as difficult relationships and hard-to-solve problems," Jeon said. "When this occurred to me, I made the decision to take the role without even reading the full script. I wasn't sure about where this story would go but I wanted to experience the adventure of finding the 'alien' and my faith."
Her decision appears to have been the right one, as the series got off to a good start, going straight to the top of Netflix's TV show chart in Korea after it started on Oct. 7.
Earlier this month, Jeon hosted the opening ceremony of this year's ongoing Busan International Film Festival with actor Ryu Jun-yeol. During the event she had a chance to talk with Hong Kong actor Tony Leung over dinner. Recalling the conversation, she said, "When I talked with him, I came to realize that the most important thing is to have sincere enthusiasm for my job and make a better world through it. That made me want to be more devoted to what I am doing and present good films to the world."
