Sales of Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 smartphones are rising to the point where they are starting to become mainstream.
Sales of the new foldable phones are setting records in Europe, North America, Oceania and Southeast Asia. They surged 1.7 times in India and doubled in Indonesia compared to their predecessors.
Sales also rose 1.5 times in Latin America and more than 1.4 times in Southeast Asia, while doubling in Europe.
The phones have improved battery capacity, are lighter and thinner, and software upgrades make it easier to take photos and perform other functions. The price remains largely unchanged from the previous models.
The Flip version is getting more popular, with the sales ratio of the Flip and Fold at 6 to 4, compared to 7 to 3 for the previous models.
Samsung has already exported the phones to 127 countries and plans to launch them in the Middle East and some African countries in November.
