Koreans woke up to a chilly autumn morning on Thursday with clear skies and unpolluted air. But daytime highs and lows will fluctuate by around 10 to 15 degrees Celsius.
In Chupungryeong, North Chungcheong Province, the mercury plummeted to nine degrees in the morning while temperatures dropped to about five degrees in mountainous areas like Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province.
Temperatures in Seoul will fluctuate between 15 degrees in the morning and 24 degrees in the daytime.
"People should be careful not to catch a cold and be sure to bundle up as temperatures will vary by about 10 degrees for the time being," the Korea Meteorological Administration said.

A cold air mass arrived from the north after this year's 14th typhoon Nanmadol passed by the Korean Peninsula, according to the KMA.
Sporadic rain will fall in most central parts on Friday, with thunderstorms and gusts of wind. But after that no more rain is expected until the last day of September.
The leaves will start to change color in Mt. Seorak in Gangwon Province on Sept. 29. Autumnal tints will spread slowly and the autumn foliage will peak between mid- and late October.
