Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur has yet to score a goal this season, failing to find the net in five consecutive matches.
Son made his fifth start and played the full match in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with West Ham United in London.
In the 34th minute, Tottenham striker Harry Kane sent a cross to Son but West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer got there first and scored an own goal.
The last time Son went scoreless for five matches was back in the 2018-19 season, when he scored his first goal in his eighth match.
After playing in the club's season opener he had to miss three consecutive matches to participate in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia. Son finished the season with 12 goals and seven assists.
The BBC said Son "is spending far too much time in deep-lying positions" and is "being creatively marginalized by [manager Antonio] Conte" this season.
