Korea Fails to Advance to Knockout Stage at U-20 Women's World Cup

Korea failed to advance to the knockout stage of the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, after losing to France 1-0 in its final group match in San Jose, Costa Rica on Thursday.

Korea went on the attack from the start, with 60 percent of ball possession in the first half, but conceded the lead in the second half.

In the 74th minute, Esther Mbakem-Niaro scored the winning goal for France off a header.

In the previous group matches, Korea beat Canada 2-0 and lost 1-0 to Nigeria.
