Chun In-gee finished runner-up at the AIG Women's Open, the final LPGA major of the season, on Sunday.
Chun lost to Ashleigh Buhai of South Africa in the fourth play-off hole at Muirfield in East Lothian, Scotland, falling short in her attempt to become the second Korean to win a career grand slam after Park In-bee.

A career grand slam is when a player wins four of the five LPGA majors during her career -- the Chevron Championship (formerly Ana Inspiration), U.S. Women's Open, KPMG Women's PGA Championship, Evian Championship and AIG Women's Open.
Chun won the U.S. Women's Open in 2015, Evian Championship in 2016 and KPMG Women's PGA Championship in 2022.
"I felt pressured because a grand slam was at stake. I’m sorry to fans who supported me," she said after the event. "I still have next year and the year after, so I will keep trying" to achieve the feat.
