Defender Kim Min-jae of Fenerbahçe S.K. is reportedly ready to join Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli after reaching an agreement with the Italian club, according to local media there.
Football Italia reported Thursday that Kim is "ready to sign a five-year contract with Napoli worth around [2.5 million euros] net per season plus add-ons."
Specific details have yet to emerge from all the speculation over the deal. Nevertheless, it seems likely that Kim, who has been wooed by several clubs thanks to his outstanding performance at the Turkish club last season, will go to Naples soon to sign a contract.
Barring any unforeseen problems, Kim will become the third Korean to play in Serie A, following Ahn Jung-hwan, who played for Associazione Calcistica Perugia Calcio, and Lee Seung-woo, who played for Hellas Verona F.C.
