Air routes between Korea and Japan are returning to normal after being suspended for more than two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Flights between Seoul's Gimpo and Tokyo's Haneda airports will operate every day from next week, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said on Tuesday.
The Gimpo-Haneda route resumed on June 29 with eight flights a week, two years and three months after it was suspended, and the number will increase to 28 from July 25, enabling Korean and Japanese airlines to offer daily flights.
The route between Incheon and Sapporo also resumed on Sunday after two years and four months of suspension, and Korean Air is operating two flights a week.
