Couples living close to nature have a higher chance of pregnancy than ones living in built-up cities, a study suggests.
Jeong Hye-gyeong and Choe Seung-ah at Korea University's Anam Hospital studied 500 couples who had tried for a child for over a year and found that couples who lived close to nature or had easy access to parks or lakes had a better chance of succeeding with fertility treatment.
The findings held true even when controlled for other factors like age and obesity.
"Increasing green areas in the city or making it easier for city dwellers to access nature could help infertile couples overcome their problem," Jeong said.
"Infertile couples should seek medical diagnosis and look for remedies."
