Actress and director Ku Hye-sun has been honored for a film she directed, at Japan's Short Shorts Film Festival and Asia.
Ku won the Audience Award in the Asia International Competition category for the film "Dark Yellow" at the festival, which is the largest short film festival in Asia accredited by the U.S. Academy Awards. This year's event was held from June 7 to 20.
The movie revolves around a man who is interested in a woman working at a flower shop. She also plays the lead role in the film.
The award comes 12 years after Ku won the Global Spotlight Award at the festival for her directorial debut "The Madonna" in 2010.
