Korea has reported its first two suspected cases of monkeypox. The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said Wednesday that two probable cases were identified the day before.
One of the suspected patients is a foreigner who arrived in Korea on Monday. The patient visited a hospital in Busan after showing potential symptoms of the virus and is now being treated there. The other is a Korean who entered the country from Germany on Tuesday via Incheon International Airport. The Korean has been admitted to a hospital in Incheon.
    Their identities are being withheld.
The agency said it will hold a briefing to explain measures against monkeypox as soon as test results for the suspected cases become available.
