Koreans will have 67 public holidays next year, the same as this year, but some of them fall on a weekend, bringing total days off to 116 days, two fewer than this year.

The Ministry of Science and ICT on Sunday said there will be 53 Sundays and 16 public holidays on the 2023 calendar. But New Year's Day (Jan. 1) and Lunar New Year's Day (Jan. 22) will fall on a Sunday.

Workers with a five-day workweek will have a total of 116 days off including 52 Saturdays.
