Cop caper "The Roundup" has attracted over 7 million viewers so far, proving Korea's first early summer blockbuster since most lockdown restrictions were scrapped.
The Ma Dong-seok vehicle, a sequel to his 2017 hit "The Outlaws," had been No. 1 at the box office since its release on May 18 but lost the top spot to "Jurassic World: Dominion" early this week.
By Thursday it had sold 7.47 million tickets, surpassing the first installment in the franchise, which racked up 6.88 million.
Also starring Son Suk-ku, the movie sees Ma's maverick policeman head to Vietnam to extradite a vicious hired killer who commits crimes against tourists.
