Seol-hyun Says Intriguing Script Drew Her to Mystery TV Series

Singer-turned-actress Seol-hyun, who is still active as a member of girl group AOA, is set to appear in cable channel tvN's new mystery series slated for airing on Wednesday.

"The Killer's Shopping List" revolves around a murder case in a peaceful neighborhood where residents and police officers try to trace the killer using a receipt as a clue.

Seol-hyun plays the role of a police officer.

"To nail the role, which has some action scenes including boxing, I watched so many videos of boxing fights and even went to an action school," she said at a press event in Seoul on Monday, just a few days ahead of the series' airing.

"The script was very intriguing when I first read it," she said.

But she admitted that she has quite a different character in reality. "In the series, I portray a person who says everything that comes into her mind, but I'm not like that. Rather, I tend to be reserved and often hold back what I want to say."
